Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) is a rare disease with only a 0.16% prevalence in the general population. In the last 5 years, treatment has dramatically changed – both medically and surgically. It is clear that the earlier TED is treated, the better patients do. Patients often experience lengthy delays in treatment, as they are passed around from doctor to doctor without anyone taking charge of the situation. A TED specialist will be the “captain of the ship”, directing the team and helping you make informed decisions with all available treatment options today.
Why do I need a TED specialist?

What are Dr. Ramesh’s training and qualifications?
Dr. Ramesh is an oculofacial plastic surgeon, and a member of ASOPRS (The Oculofacial Society) and AAFPRS (The Facial Plastic Society). He trained at UCLA, one of the original sites of development for both modern orbital decompression and the drug teprotumumab (Tepezza). He has treated over 80 patients with Tepezza since its FDA approval in 2020, and was involved in its research trials before that time. Dr. Ramesh’s practice is devoted 50% to TED and its manifestations, ensuring a comprehensive and seamless approach to treatment.
